I can't find this in the 69 Camaro Wiring Diagram Manual. My electric switch for the conv. top has a red wire. It looks like it has a grommet on it to go through the firewall. And it's about 2 feet long. Does anybody know where this is supposed to go? I assume it needs a positive power source? I hate to admit it that I disassembled the entire car and can't remember where this goes. I have an American Autowire complete kit installed in case that matters. Thanks.

it probably goes to the firewall mounted circuit breaker beside the brake booster.

the grommet should fit a hole near the fuse block.

And then to the horn relay.

Thanks, but, the American Autowire harness does not have a horn relay or the circuit breaker on the firewall. I'll call AA and see if they have any recommendations.

You should have a circuit breaker assembly (4849847) on your firewall above and outboard of your brake booster. The red pigtail has a spade end and a round end. The spade end plugs in near the switch and the round end goes to the circuit breaker assembly (bottom post). The circuit breaker top post has wire assembly (6290627) from the top post to the horn relay on the radiator support. See 1969 Camaro Assembly Manual UPC C06 Sheet A1.
Good Luck

The American Autowire harness has several heavy duty accessory plugs under the dash for power windows, updated AC, stereo/amps etc. I plugged the top into one of those on the recommendation of AA.
