Hi guys!

I'm new to this forum and Camaros in general so please forgive my lack of knowledge.

Here is my problem.....

I have a 1995 Camaro with a 3.8. Whenever I'm slowly accelerating and I hit about 52mph, my car hesitates kinda like it doesn't want to shift. It feels like it is going to stall, but it won't....in fact all you have to do is press the gas a bit harder and it is fine. It doesn't do this if I accelerate quickly.

I was driving it the other day and instead of pressing the gas harder, I just let it keep doing it to see if it would pull through and it sounded like it backfired and then the engine light came on.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Rich

Did you check to see what trouble code the ECM kicked out when the Check engine light came on? Start there. It might give you a broader clue.

Stores like autozone and advance will pull the codes for free...

not sure if 95 is the same but on my 92 if you cross the top right terminal and the one two spaces to the left on the under dash connector the check engine light will flash. count the seperate sets of flashes. the first set will blink as follows - -- this equals twelve and the all clear code. any trouble codes will come after that. for example -- -- equals 22 and a throttle position low volt code. use this to determine the given code and then google diagnostic trouble codes. hope this helps.
