I did a search but nothing came up.
What color are the trunk hinges supposed to be?
Mine are splatter paint and look odd against the blue lid. I was thinking of painting them black since I don't have the paint (or skill) to paint them to match.

Thanks,
Joe

Mine were/are the same color as the car.The lower part was not painted body color. It lookes like the trunk, and hinge were painted, then they painted the body. They did a nice job on the upper hinge, the lower part had some slight over spray.

Hinges are body color coverage gets pretty thin back up under the area under the rear window, but a majority of it dose get painted. Trunk lids were painted already attached to the trunk hinges so primer will show under the area where the hinge attaches to the trunk.

Mark,

I have to disagree on the trunk lids. When I removed the original trunk lid from my 69 Van Nuys car, the area under the hinge was unpainted steel. Amazingly, there was no rust. It looked as clean as it probably did on the day it was assembled.

Thanks, guys. I'd like to paint to match, but am unsure of the car color. I think it's dusk blue, but.......? Original was a light green.
