One of my all time favorites, Ken Barnhart and the ZL-1 he bought new from Fred Gibb. Was converted into a racecar with very few miles on it and pretty much remains unchanged from 1969.

Another rare sight, a 427 Yenko Nova headed down the track. My son Rob is at the wheel. I was in the pits with my fingers crossed hoping nothing broke. LOL

Wow, I know I said it already, but thanks so much for the pics guys. For those of us who don't have the opportunity to get to shows like that, it's a real treat! Gotta love all that history!!!!

BTW, footage from the track will be on "My Classic Car" TV this year, I believe airing for the first time in June.

We got there a little later than we had planned, so we missed the drag racing.

But I have to say that the after show parking lot donuts and burnouts are a very cool sight.

Of course, that was the very moment the battery in my camera died :angry:

Dave...those parking lot burnouts and donuts were on Thursday night...as people were coming into the area. It's a good time to meet and BS with everyone...If they did more at the track...I missed those...I was probably shooting video.

Obviously, I missed the Thursday nite action also.

The ones I was referring to were Saturday afternoon, as the cars were leaving the indoor show and into the parking lot, before getting loaded up. Pretty impressive, nonetheless.

Plan on making SCR9, probably with a car (even though it will probably be in the outside show). We'll be sure to get there before Friday afternoon this time. :thumbsup:

Dave...I missed that :( I think that I had gone back to the hotel to call the 'family'

I know that a few cars "tested the smooth pavement" right outside the doors of the convention center...though.

Definitely make it a point to get there early in the evening for some good times. I won't be too hard to find...I'll have a camera...and a video camera. Come up and introduce yourself!
