Any idea how to tighten up a sloppy shifter? already put new bushings on rod ends.

Send it to Hurst, they will rebuild it and replate it for $90. Sending mine off today.

If its anything like the one I used to have. Place shifter in neutral. Then insert a codder pin in the slot at the top where the linkage engages. This locks the shifter in the correct position.. Now readjust all linkage arms at their connections to the tranny levers. Should be right as rain. Don't forget to take the codder pin out afterwards.. You'll hate yourself.
