Has anyone had a problem with the rear bottoming out? I lowered my 69 with derched multi-leafed springs and kyb shocks. Empty or full I have to be real careful with dips in the road or hard accelleration. I changed wheels too. I have 17"x8"s with the standard low pro rubber. I have the same problem.

Where is it bottoming out? Did you put some clay in key areas and go over some bumps?

yes, what exactly s hitting, bump stops? fender lips? inner fender? exhaust system?
My leaf springs foul on the exhaust pipes sometimes.

My car hits the snout (whatever it's called) of the rearend on the bumpstop rubber that is above it at the end of the trans tunnel occasionally.

The tires are bottoming into the fender wells. It's not a hard bump as it is a grinding of tire against the inside. My new tires don't touch the lips.

Too soft of spring.
Too low in height.

Should I go back to the original springs? I bought the suspension as a kit specifically for this car. Plus, I thought the shocks controled compression and KYBs are pretty stiff by comparison.
