Okay...so I have posted a few times concerning my problem with my speedometer not working and my transmission not shifting. I replaced the VSS and that did not fix the problem. Since then I have learned that the speed sensor and wiring are fine. What's happening is that the speedometer is reading about a tenth of what it should. I can take the sensor out and spin it up real fast with a shot of air to get the speedo up to 60. I have no reason to believe that the transmission has a problem in and of itself. I believe that the speedsensor circuit in the PCM is bad. Any replies? Suggestions. I'm thinking about jacking up the back, taking off the wheels, putting the car in drive and giving it a little gas and then spinning the sensor up with a shot of air until the speedo reads about 20 mph to see if the transmission will shift...carefully of course. If it will shift like this, then what else could be the problem but the PCM? Any amount of help will help me. Thanks.
