Going to glass bead hinges how do you get the
hinge pin out though it would be better to take
them apart thanks

Tony,
I had to grind off the small tabs on the ends. If you're careful, you can grind them down without touching anything else. I used a typical hand-held grinder, but a Dremel or die grinder with a small bit would probably be easier.
You won't have a choice but to replace all of the pins\bushings when you're done, which is a good thing.

Just did my uppers. All I did was cut the pin with a mini air hacksaw pulled the halves out of the top and bottom replace the bushings and tap the new pin in took like 20 minutes. Hopefully the bottoms will go as well but they will be a little different.

You should be able to get them 98% clean that way. But there will always be the areas where the two halves come together that won't come clean. And you won't be able to successfully paint them in those areas either.
At least, that's my take and I'm sticking to it! tongue.gif
