I've been offered a fairly solid 67 plain jane coupe for $4,500. The vin on the door post starts withL2337.....

Logic tells me that this is probably a Van Nuys 6-cyl car...but I read that the plant designation is not at the beginning of the vin like this one is...

Is this a 6cyl Van Nuys car based on this vin?

Any comments on the price? The interior is shot, rear window broke, driver's side floor has a big hole and bottom of both quarters need replaced. Other than that the car is very solid underneath, trunk and body. It has a 327 in it now...

Recheck that number. (Actually, post the whole thing along with the Trim Tag info...)

It's probably 12337 and not "L"2337. If it's 12337 like I think it is, then yes, it's a 6 cylinder.
