I want to remove the 6-pc roof drip molding on my 67 coupe. Is there a special tool or trick that would make it possible to do so without damaging the molding? Thanks.

There a series if screws that are spaced every 6-8" or so. They can be tough to see because of the adhesive that held in the rubber molding. On some models, they had a couple rivets, but this may be to hold the molding together only and not attach to the roof. After you think that you have all the screws off, gently pry of the molding with a wide, stiff putty knife or screwdriver. Good luck and be patient.

Dino, I think he is talking about the chrome on the roof drip edge, only on style trim cars. Your going in to deep. Most people don't even know about that chrome! I have had good luck using a bottle opener with some tape on it to prevent scratching the paint. Pry gently a little at a time to prevent dings. Using two at once is even better as it distributes the pressure.

On the other side of the question - what is the best way to reinstall the roof drip moldings? Mine are off, but will have to be put back on some day!
