It won't be an accurate decode with out a little more missing or corrected information. Please get us the top line off the cowl, you're missing the entire line with the date code. Also, the 21CR is incorrect. Please look again at this part the 1 and C aren't good codes.

Also try to get the numbers off the trans and rear axle for us along with the VIN :)

Sorry that is all I have on it and the car is 2 hours away.

the 21CR amight be 21CB

can you confirm if it is an RS or not?

Looks like it is an RS, and may or may not be an SS as well. Depends on it's build date. The problem with the 2... line is the 1C, not the R. The three characters after the 2 would all be letters, no numbers, and none of them could be a C. Here's the only possible characters they could be. Taken from the Camaro Research Group website. (http://camaros.org/numbers.shtml#CowlTag) G, M, L, Z, B, H, E, U, S, R

The "1" could be mistaken for a L perhaps, but I have no idea what the C could have been mistaken for.

Here's a partial decode:
Decode for body number: 008376

No Build date given.
67-12637 = Custom Interior Coupe.
LOS = Built in Van Nuys California.
765 = Custom Black Bucket Seats.
Z = (A50) Strato Bucket Seats (without headrests).
Y-2 = Lower Color is Butternut Yellow and the Vinyl Top Color is Black.

Options:
1W = (A02) Tinted W/S only
1L = (A67) Fold-down rear seat
2R = (U80) Speaker rear
21 = ?
2C = ?
3S = (Z23) Interior Decor group
3L = (Z22) Rally Sport Package
4P = (L48) SS 350 OR L30/M20
5Y = (A39) Belts All Deluxe

Note the 2R above, would have 2 more options under it for the incorrect "1C" in the data you gave us. Also note the 4P could mean it's an SS or a L30/M20 depending on it's build date and other information not provided. Is the original engine still in the car? Is it a 350 or a 327? Can you get a picture of the cowl tag? The rear axle code would really be nice to know as well.

/Cheers

Your car decodes as follows according to the tag decoder created by the CRG. The group 2 options need to be checked as the 1 and C have no correlation that I have ever seen the 1 is probably an L for 4-speed. I am assuming that the build date on the car is 11B since the body # is 8367. Since the date is pretty early car looks like it is either an RS/SS 350 car or an RS L30/M20 car. Does the car have a 12 bolt? If so does it have the factory traction arm bar on the passenger side? That will tell you a little more. The guys from the CRG are the ral experts on telling if it is an L30 or SS car. They have a bunch of research about it on their site at www.camaros.org and they frequent this forum often.

I would say that the 21C is actually 2LG meaning the car had a 4 speed and console. Is the car standard shift?
