Hi have a 67 camaro that i had the guage pod out to do some wire replacing.I decided to clean the lens on the guages and put it all back together. When i was ready to put it back in the car i noticed the needle for the speedometer had moved off of zero and was loose so i tried to pull off the stem with no success. The next thing i did was wind the needle like a clock and it did tighten up and was able to rezero it, so i put the gauge pod back in the car and hooked everything back up and took it for a test drive now the needle moves around all over the place and even vibrates it worked perfectly before now it doesnt the odometer seems to be working good though.Any help would be great thanks Curt

Curt, I think you are going to need a new speedometer or take it to someone that repairs speedometers. The speedometer is a very delicate instrument and the needle should not be moved by hand. Chances are that something got bent or broken inside the speedo unit.

As above...
U MAY find that the needle is moving on the spinal. a tiny drop of aeraldite, on the end of a needle, COULD fix.
I do think Daves "take it to someone that repairs speedometers" is best bet.
