Im in the process of rebuilding my 12 bolt and Im running one of the richmond pinion bushings instead of the crush sleeve. Im wondering what to look for when I shim the sleeve, any type of bearing clearance or pinion depth? and what is the correct process to tighted the pinion. thanks Ryan

If you are using the solid spacer then you will want to torque the pinion nut to about 250 foot pounds. The bearing preload should be between 19 and 22 inch pounds. The pinion depth is adjusted with the shim behind the inner pinion bearing, not the bearing spacer.

much appreciated, thats what I was thinking with the spacer and thats why I was wondering why they spacer came with shims. Im not going to worry about the spacers for now and see how things go. thanks
