Probably a dumb question.
Is there a front and rear to the drive shaft, for a 1967 350/295 hp with a Muncie 4 speed?

KZOO/67RS/SS Apr 25th, 06, 04:23 AM Does it make any difference which end the trans yoke goes on? Hope this makes sense. Everett#2390 Apr 25th, 06, 05:21 AM Slip yoke goes into the rear of transmission. Half of the rear U-joint gets bolted into the the rear axle yoke and secured by two straps. HO69 Apr 25th, 06, 11:37 AM It can only go on one way! 68SSConvt Apr 25th, 06, 04:29 PM He means if the slip yoke isn't already on the driveshaft, does it matter which end of the shaft the slip yoke is installed on. (Obviously this then becomes the front.:)) Both ends of the driveshaft itself are the same, so you could physically put the slip yoke on either end. I would assume it doesn't matter which end is which, I see no reason it would matter. But I don't know this 100%. I could not really see any difference, but I was not 100% sure either. |
