: Quick Fuel Metering Blocks?

Im looking to delve into the idle and part throttle tuning of my 650 speed demon. I optimized WOT at the dyno and it dosent get much better. between 12.3-12.8 from 2500 all the way to 6300. It runs pretty rich at idle and cruizing though. The plugs get pretty dark. Im going to drill and tap the fixed air horn to convert to screw in air bleeds( I bought the speed demon before the improved mighty demon came out). My question is has anybody had any experience with the aftermarket metering blocks? Quick fuel or proform? They sell a kit from quick fuel with both blocks for 95 bucks. Not a bad deal. Those even have changable emulsion holes. Id like to be able to change IFRs but the speed demon has fixed ports. I cant convert them like the air bleeds. I have all the specs on my current carb and figure I can duplicate the specs on the new blocks and start from there. Im trying to get the gumption to spend the $$$$ for one of those fancy wide-band meters. They sure look nice. Thanks for any input.

I have the quick fuel blocks and have not had very good luck with them. They run extremely rich. I even sent a set back to quick fuel and they told me that they were defective and had tiny holes connecting the passages within the block. They "supposedly" sent me a new set however, I still have the same problem with them. Maybe someone who knew how to modify the emulsion bleeds could get them to work . Although I understand how they work, I dont think that I know enough to feel comfortable messing with them myself even though I have an Innovate wide band O2 sensor.
