I recently got my 69 camaro coupe out for a trial run after making winter changes. My transmission currently won't go into park all the time. All that I did to the tranny was replace the pan, gasket and filter. It acts like it's in reverse. But also about this same time my key switch locked up and won't return to the full off position. Even though I can get my key in and out. Are these to issues related? Will the key switch issue clear up once I get the tranny fixed?:confused:

There is a connection between the shifter on the transmission and the steering column, which locks you out, preventing you from shifting the transmission while the ignition lock is in off position. Usually it only prevents you from changing gears while it’s locked, not the other way, but something there maybe out of whack.
