When I am in first gear say in traffic and let the clutch out slowly in first gear on the idle (800rpm) my Camaro leaps forward again and again until I give it more gas and then it wants to fly.
Is this just a simple ajustment to the the carb or is this just my cam and I have to live with it?

Sounds like the cam to me. "Bucking" at low rpms.

Any car will buck even a bone stock Honda Civic if you let out the clutch without enough throttle. Are you trying to let out your clucth with no throttle at 800RPM?

Sounds like it to me after that description. What are your specs on the cam?
