I just installed a new Crower Monarch solid cam straight up in a 350. Cam specs. at 222/222 @0.050 - 0.450/0.450 with 110 lsa. I thought there might be a slight chop, but at 700 rpms the idols is as smooth as my stock pickup. It also has 20' of vacuum. While timing it, I found that to keep it running well the timming mark had to be WAY advanced. I'm still working on it, but it's not entirely what I expected. Does this sound right? Kevin

well you probably have too much total mechanical timing built into distributor. you need to limit total advance so you can run more initial advance. also thats a pretty small cam on a wide lobe sep anlge, so it wont really be that radical anyways sorry :(
