I currently have an 3" Pypes X pipe with 3" Flowmaster Super 40's(LOUD). At this time I am not running tailpipes but I cant see it toning it down much at all. So I know I like the Flowmaster sound but am open to suggestions. Not much into the Magnaflow or Dynomax sound. So I am thinking either about some Hooker Aerochambers or 3 Chamber Flowmaster Delta 50's. What mufflers are louder?? Anyone ran these on the same motor and lliked on or the other??

Never did a back to back comparison, but I have the 2 1/2 inch Aero Chambers on my car and my dad has the 3 inch.
They both seem quieter than most Flowmasters I've heard and not Tinny sounding, either.
So, all I can say is that the Aerochambers are pretty quiet with full exhaust IMO.

Tail pipes on flowmasters make a pretty big difference in volume. Your not only hearing the sound out of your mufflers now, but your also hearing the 'drumming' on the road and bottom of car. Once I added tailpipes to mine it was night and day difference.
Did the tail pipes kill the droan?? How are the Aerochambers when it comes to droaning??

All I can comment on is the Flowmasters. I have 3 chamber ones that came out before the Delta flow stuff and pipes out the back. It does not resonate at all in the car. In fact, that is why I went with the 3 chamber vs. 2. I didn't want any chance of resonance.
They sound good in my opinion. Not too terribly loud at cruise but they talk when you get into it.
