Could somebody post pictures of the 67 fold down rear seat? I understand that 67 is different from 68-69. I just purchased one and all help is appreciated. .......BTW.... I did a search but not enough pictures.

'68 and '69 folding rear seat backs are latched with lever on the passengers side upper corner. '67 seat back is held up by 2 spring clips the easy way to tell which you have is by looking for a latch pin on the passenger side seat of the back seat.

i have both types here in my house i'll take some pics and show you the difference.....the first two pics are for a 69-69 the last two are 67 only.the difference is the 68-69 uses an upper locking latch.you can tell by the notch in the backrest on the pass side.

Thanks for the pics. What about pictures of the clips for a 67? I have the 2 clips, but don't know where they attach.

vtbogey - I have pics of the clips but not with me. They go on the upper right and left of the panel that separates the interior from the trunk. They should line-up with the metal tabs on the sides of your seat. They hold the seat in the up-right position. I will get the pics tonight and send them to you tomorrow unless someone else beats be to it.

I am in the same process right now on my 67, and looking for where the upper clips mount, and how. It looks to me like they went to a pin system and catch release in 68-69, and the 67 just pushed into the mounts? Are the bottoms of the rear seat the same on a standard vs. fold down? It looks to be the case. Thanks for the great pics so far!

Vtbogey - here is a closer picture. The clip is held with one sheet metal screw. It is positioned so it catches the metal tab on the side of the fold down seat back. Just the tension of the clip on the metal tab holds the seat back in position. My clips have a channel for the screw so they can be adjusted for more or less tension on the seat back's metal tab.

After looking at this closer, there is a second hole for another screw to hold each tab. Mine only had one screw, but I think I will put two in when I reinstall.
