Hagerty works really well, catch is the 68 cannot be your primary driver. You will need to show proof of insurance on a another vehicle registered to you thru a company such as AAA etc. Hope this helps and congrats on the new toy!

I second the Hagerty vote. They are pretty good as far as im concerned. You will have no problem getting 20k coverage on that car. As long as its a car for street use only...saw the roll cage so not sure what the deal is there.

Hagerty is good , but if they wont take you you may look at Grundy.

i recently checked out some quotes at http://www.oneshopinsurance.com (http://www.oneshopinsurance.com/) they have a couple of known companies here. I also checked out some premiums. actually there are things that we all have to consider. Age is a major consideration. The type and model of the vehicle has a major role also. When buying car/auto insurance online, there are sites that provide automated tools. They’re using an auto coverage analyzer where you have to answer a few question about your financial standing, automobile condition, etc. From this information it will generate what category of coverage we need.

Check out http://www.americancollectorsins.com/index.php. You can get an online quote easily. They are cheaper than Hagerty and Grundy and I have used them for five years.

Here's the problem with Hagerty, you may not have this problem but I do. When I sent them the pics of my car, a 67 Camaro, they rejected it. They saw the roll cage. They wanted a dyno cert. So I got that dyno and it measured 523 to the wheels. They will only go 500 to the fly wheel. Or so they said.
So I was out of luck. The roll bar stopped it.
So I found Parish-Heacock.
They didn't care about the hp or the roll bar, they just stipulated that it cannot be raced and it cannot be driven to work and there cannot be another driver in the household under the age of 25. Also, it had to be garage kept and I had to include a pic of the garage.

No problem, I provided all they wanted and have been happy ever since. This sort of policy is an agreed value policy. We agreed on 15k and if its totalled, that's what they give me.
I'm going to increase my insurance now to 25k since I've put money in it and the price of these cars has gone up.

So look into Parish-Heacock, they were so nice to me, their service was outstanding.
