: Help identify drip rail "clip"
kz1000ltd Dec 1st, 03, 06:11 AM Have a friend restoring a 69 Z, X-77 car, and he's trying to find one of these "clips", that attaches to the drip rail. To be honest, I've never seen one, I kinda remember my car when it was stripped, and I actually thought that was a piece of the drip rail, and my moldings popped right on over it, if it was even there???? The clip is not chrome or stainless steel, it is attached to the roof gutter just past the pillar posts on the roof line. Anybody recognize this "clip"? Thanks Team Camaro!!! KZ

Kyvox Dec 1st, 03, 06:32 AM There is about a 1/8" gap between the two pieces of the gutter, and that clip is used to cover it. It is painted body color.
I had a couple of them, and gave them away a while back. I can check to see if I have any more. Does he need 1, or 2?
kz1000ltd Dec 1st, 03, 06:53 AM I think he only needs one, let me know if you can scrounge one up, thanks Kyvox!

I looked around, but I didn't find any more of those clips. Sorry. I can't even find a part number for them to see if they're still available from GM.
kz1000ltd Dec 1st, 03, 03:20 PM Anybody else have one of these things laying around, or know where one can be purchased? The guys doing a really correct restoration, very detailed oriented, I told him I would ask around......thanks. KZ
smalblock Dec 1st, 03, 03:26 PM these "clips" came on cars that did not have the stainless trim on the drip rail. jack
z10rod Dec 1st, 03, 03:40 PM small block you beat me to it
KZ thats what he needs for a x77 without stainless trim x33 wouldn't have it
your buddy tracy should have one
he has many projects in his other building
kz1000ltd Dec 1st, 03, 05:02 PM Yes, that's what it says in the original post, X-77 car, I haven't been to Vintage or Tracy's lately, I'm trying to kick the habit...... :D
drdave69 Dec 3rd, 03, 02:35 AM KZ, I may still have two of those in my attic. When I restored my X77 car I removed them because I added all of the exterior trim (X33). I will check today or tonight when I get the chance.
kz1000ltd Dec 3rd, 03, 03:09 AM Thanks, shoot me an email and let me know if you find em'......KZ
