I have an insulation product that I have personally used and highly recommend. It is a closed cell polyethylene core with pure polished aluminum on both sides. It will not collect moisture and mildew like some other products. It is a great radiant heat barrier and noise deadener. It is lightweight and priced right. You can get more info at www.lobucrod.com.

MOST ALL AUTO PAINTSUPPLY SHOPS HAVE THAT STLYE OF MAT,ALSO A GOOD PRODUCT IS DYNA MAT MOST CUSTOM STERO SHOPS USE IT TO DEADEN SOUND WHILE INSTALLING BIG AUDIO SYSTEMS,THIS STUFF IS GOOD NO ONLY REDUCES SOUND,BUT HELPS KEEP THE HEAT DOWN AND
YOU CAN STIC SOME ON THE INNR DOOR SKIN,WHEN THE DOOR PANEL AND GLASS ARE OUT OF THE WAY-IT KEEPS THE DOOR FROM HAVING A THUD SOUND WHEN YOU CLOSE IT:) lschumac

Unless Jim went nuts, gutted his car and painted organge stripes on his coupe, that's not his car. It looks like Jeff Trush's car. I checked Jeff's page on Lateral-g, and he didn't have the insulation type called out, but I'll check hsi Car Craft write-up and see if it is there.

Looks good but I would think the silver side goes down? then dead mat and jute padding.

Whatever product it is, he's got it everywhere. I think he's a TC member, but Lateral-G has his email addy too.

I'm with Jim, I wish it was mine too. I have/had mine torn down that far, but mine won't be nearly as nice, for while I too, like Jeff, suffer from OCD (Obsessive Camaro Disorder), I also suffer from NEC (Not Enough Cash).

McMaster warehouse is right down the road and I can go during lunch and save on shipping! :) when my cars are ready, this is probably how I will go.

They also talked about this product: Grace ice dam sheet for roofs... interesting.

ice dam roofing layers are building code here now. 4' wide and runs the length of the house to prevent ice damming in winter. trouble is, with today's good insulation its hardly needed. Old homes without good insulation have the ice dam issues. go figure. :)

The pic is in your directory of photos Jim.... you fooled me! I always thought it was YOUR car you were showing every time you post that pic.

Either way.... I'm at that stage now. I need to pick an insulation\sound control product and it's getting tougher! It's as tough as picking a darn exterior color!! I definitely do not want something that's 1/2" thick. It's gotta be thin, whatever I use.

That's Clicks car.
;)
Joe, I've seen clicks car, and it only has 2 pedals.

I used stuff from PC Whitney. It's fairly thin, foil on one side, cheap and works.

I saw this link over on PT website. The link has some interesting info. I haven't tried any of the stuff yet. This site is the only site I've seen with any attempt at comparisons.
