Will the dash grab handle kit from a 69 fit the dash of a 68? I've looked for one for my 68 but haven't had any luck. Some clown at the parts store said that "If it says it's for a 69, than it's not for a 68". Well I kinda figured that, but hoped it might fit anyway. All he could said was "Idunknow". If it doesn't fit, than what are you guys using. Also, what's so special about the behind the dash fasteners that make it cost so much?? Thanks again Kevin

I don't believe that the 68's even came with a dash grab handle...Doesn't appear that there is enough room between the top of the glove box & the dash pad....The glove box on the 68 is way bigger.

I don't know if they are the same.I think they are.But to the best of my knowledge all deluxe interior 68s came with a grab handle above the glovebox.Jeff

My Bad...I forgot about the deluxe interior...My old 68 didn't have one but it was standard interior.....So I guess I pretty much have no idea!

I have a 68 with a deluxe interior and the grab bar. I just checked a few catalogs and only see a repo for 69 listed. I dunno ;(

The 69 Grab Bar is a bit longer than the 68, so no, they're not interchangable. UNLESS you never had one in the first place. Then sure, you can drill the holes and use whichever one you want.
