Hi,
I am new to the site and happy to join. :waving: I have a 67 Camaro. It originally was a 327 4speed. It was converted to a drag race car, maybe a super gas or pro gas car. I found it at a guy's house that bought it for parts and then changed his mind. He gave me the car for what he paid for it.
Gave is the operative word. :D
It has a 454 out to 468 and a T400 with a 12bolt 4:88 rear end. When I got it, it had no working lights and it was running REALLY rich.
I've returned it to the street. It's lights work, I had the tranny rebuilt and I've done various engine mods to make it easier to work on.
I rebuilt the carb and jetted it down. It was running very rich for NOS. I changed the distributor from dual point to MSD and took off the noisy chattering timing gears and put in a Cloyes true roller.
Anyway, I hope to learn a lot from this site. I really am not a very good mechanic. It takes me weeks to do what a real mechanic takes hours to do.
Mike
