My friend has a 87 IROC 350TPI . He had it for about 3 months and it ran good. It now barely runs, will idle roughly at times and when you try to drive it or even rev it in park it pretty much hesitates big time and dies. So far we have gone on a parts replacing binge which normally we wouldnt do but are now pretty much almost out of new parts to replace. We replaced: o2 sensor,MAF, MAF relays, TPS sensor,computer,MSD coil(and stock coil tried) cap, rotor, Had ignition module in dist. tested at Advance and said it was good,fuel filter,new plugs 3 months ago,rebuilt fuel press regulator,plug wires, sprayed soapy water around intake looking for leaks/bubbles. We only have one more guess... could something be wrong in the fuel tank..fuel pump or pickup?,return lines? If we would have taken it in to a shop before spending all this cash on parts we would have been ahead but now my friend is laid off and doesnt have the funds to take it in for diagnosis so were looking for some help/direction on what to look for next. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
