I just put the first coat of por 15 on my engine compartment and there are air bubbles now that is has dried. Has this happened to any off you? how can i fix or perevent it and im putting on a second coat then a black top coat will it show threw? Does the top coat act differnetly than the regular protcective paint? I did use metal ready first.
Also there is a 12 by 3 inch area on the bottom of my fender i want to patch abotu how much will it cost?
any answers or comments on how your cars reacted to por 15 would be very helpful it was supposed to dry without streeks and it did but with air bubbles in areas. Is it how i paint? i will probly be putting the second paint coat on by the end of the week and then the top coat in a week or so. the area im talking about is the two cross memebers. I want the car to look good and hopefull i can get rid of those bubbles.
Thank you

Did you spray the POR15 on? If you did, it sounds like you might have had water in the line. There are other reasons that can cause this problem like a contaminant getting on the surface prior to painting and after it was cleaned or even blowing something into the paint when it was sprayed, but water in the line is very common in a non-professional environment.

I am guessing you brushed it on. Next time use a foam brush instead of a bristle brush. They are super cheap, disposable, and leave a good finish.
