I swapped my hard throttle linkage for a cable off a 73 nova, my question is how does the pedal end of the cable attach to the hole in the pedal? I would think that there is some kind of clip that snaps over the big hole in the pedal rod, but I have no idea what it looks like. Anybody have a picture, autozone, etc. thanks

Does the end of the cable that you have, have an eye hook at the end? I have one of those accelerator rods that look like a "Y" from the side (Extra part not installed). It looks like you can use a cotter pin with a washer on the inside. The only problem with that set up is that the cable will slide around on the accerator rod. Maybe one of the aftermarket warehouses sells the clip or is included with the cable.

basically the cable end is a little crimped ball...

There is a plastic C shaped clip. The cable is pushed through the hole and this clip is placed over the cable and snaps into the hole to pull on the crimped cable end when the pedal is depressed. Sorry I do not know where to get one.

If it's like the L-6 Camaro, it needs a split plastic retainer that goes over the cable, then snaps into a hole at the top of the pedal rod; see the illustration in UPC 6, sheet D2 in the '69 Assembly Manual.
