My question is, has anyone used or compared a new repro center dash clock for a 69 to an original GM?

My 69 came with the center dash clock, but it doesn't work. I was considering buying a repro clock and bezel.

The clock alone is $150 so I was curious.

i have one from Rick's and it works great. the issue is the GM ones allow dirt to get behind them and even if you fix your original, it will stop again....

I just finished on mine yesterday. I installed a new repro with quartz to use till I have my original restored someday. Clock looks identicle to original and you have the reliability of quartz. I had one swapped to quartz in my Vette 10 years ago and it still works fine.

Send it to Clockworks (www.clockwks.com) - they do terrific work, for about 1/3 of the cost of a repro.

Emailed clockworks and it is $119.95 to convert my clock to quartz movement plus $10 return shipping.
