i'm looking at purchasing a 69 camaro, but the color goes from a medium blue in the shade,to an aqua green in direct light, changing green mostly only on top panels
i don't like the aqua green,so can an altered clear coat change the way the color changes when seen in different light???

I think it can if you add the clor of choice to the clear coat (ie tinting) or the application of pearls in the clear coat might give you the effect your looking for.
I see your from torrington?
check out Giannis autobody on Scoville rd in torrington. TOdio does all the paint effects your looking for.
infact my 69 camaro is being repainted there as we speak.
tell them Harry sent ya . ( he had really good prices on the work he does)his number is in the phone book

Some colers are going to change like that do to reflecting light. There is little you can do to eliminate it. You may be able to apply some "tinted" clear over it to CHANGE the way it changes, but don't count on eliminating the issue. It would take a LOT of experimentation to find what would do what you need to do to THAT particular color.
If you don't like the color, repaint it. It will take no more work than just clearing it.
