You shouldn't have to replace the doors.......you can replace or repair the existing hinge. Classic Industries sells new door hinges (upper and lower).

Yep they are welded. Sounds like you may have to deal with someone who can weld and knows bodywork.

they are welded but you can buy a bolt on kit you just need to drill the holes just spend some time and get them to fit right with correct gaps and also you can drill out the holes in your hinges and there is a kit with over sized bushings to go in the new holes i would recomend the latter unless you are a body man and good luck

Where would you find the oversized bushing. I need to replace mine on my 92. I just can't see spending almost $500 on new hinges when a friend just bought Lambo hinges for alittle more.

welding the holes closed is an easy thing to do...just trace the original holes first, so you know where to redrill...i`ve done it a ton of times...on the other hand, i have alot of welding and fab experience...thats the way i`d go though...

yes the lambo dorrs will work since they also include heavy duty struts. I've seen one at a show that all you had to do is use you finger. anyway haven't done it yet. man this is an old thread.

Thanks Larry for that website. I thought it could be done with out all that welding and drilling. Now maybe I'll do mine instead of the Lambo system.

ive got a n 89 rs and it needs the bottom pin and bushings on drivers side. is there a way to JUST replace that pin without pulling all that bs and hinges off? my door is fine but i know a new pin and bushings would make it perfect tho. . . . .

"Top Down Solutions" is the only place to go for this problem .Look for F-Body hinge repair kits . They come in two different version's and specialize in this area . Ask for Lon
