I am in the process of ordering bushings but don't know the size of my sway bar. It is a 1968 327 (210hp) with no AC and 3-spd on the floor. The car has not been modified.

Can someone tell me the diameter of the OEM front sway?

Also, do you guys recommend replacing the sway bar bushing mount brackets?

Thanks in advance.

Phatcash, I'm not 100% sure...but I think 5/8" is the number you're looking for. That is the size that came out of my '69 car last week and in the catalogs they show stock replacement for 67-69 as being 5/8". Aftermarket bars are usually 1" OR 1 1/8"... Maybe someone with the difinitive answer will chime in ;)

On the 67-68 Camaros the original sway bar is 11/16". The later years used the bigger sway bar 1" to 1-1/8" diameter. You should be able to reuse the old brackets.
