I have a 68 Camaro and it needs a Front subframe. I found one out of a 69 firebird. Will it work? It looks the same. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I typed in Firebird subframe, and a ton of posts came up. I think this one has the answer, which is that they are the same except for the holes for the fuel lines (Chevy is on passenger side, Poncho on the driver side.) http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=62782&highlight=firebird+subframe BlackoutSteve May 16th, 06, 01:25 AM I think you will find they had the bumpstop pads welded in different locations.. 68s are behind the spring housing, 69s in front.. Just drill new holes in your lower control arms are use the correct 68 rubber bumpstops or whichever.. Camaro Dave May 16th, 06, 02:04 AM I will work......The Poncho's fuel line runs the same....it only crosses over to the driver's side with an extra line that runs along the crossmember to the fuel pump. |
