I was wondering what paint should be on the 69 dash? I know the top is semi black but should the paint be gloss black on the part where the glove compartment and ash try are? Mine is scratched so I decided to repaint it while I had the rest of the dash apart. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I figured it had been on here before but wasn't sure. I should be ready for paint in the next couple of days. I had thought about using chassic black from POR on the top of the dash. Thanks again.

Or you can use Rustoleum Satin Black spray can #7777.

Hi JD, I thought about that too but didn't figure the paint would be on heavy enough. I painted the dash on a 66 Chevelle I restored a few years ago and used gloss black with a flattening agent mixed with it. It turned out good but I am out of both right now. I liked the dash pictures on the other post. Thanks for the reply.

I thought that each interior color had a specific color on the loer dash. I am wondering the same for my 69 lemans blue Z with ivory interior. Where are the correct dash colors found? I think that there were about 4 basic colors for the dash because there are the same number of color pads for the 1969. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Old Blue:
