Here are three pictures of my 67 being loaded to go to the paint shop. What a good day. The guy came to my house last night, bid the job, and picked it up today. He said in 6 weeks, I would not recognize it. Going with original Marina blue, with a white bumble bee stripe around the front.

best of luck with that paint job... I had a hard time around here (Cedar Rapids, IA) finding anyone that was willing to paint mine. Finally decided to do it myself..... Who'd you end up going with? body shop or individual?? Just curious since we're close to each other..

I am going with a shop called Tuttles Autobody. They are in Silvis, IL. Great reputation, good work (seen many of their cars in local shows). It is going to cost about twice what I had hoped, but considering what they are doing for me, there is no way I could have done it as well,( as well as I hope it will be anyway) or as quickly.
One nice thing about these guys is that they love Camaros and Chevelles. They have their own 67 (Camaro) in the final stages of a complete resto, and it looks awesome. I am confident that the job will be worth the price.

Progress update:
I was by the shop today, and I was very happy. They have had the car for three weeks now, and I was getting nervous about them having not done any work to it as of last Friday. Well, today I went by the shop, and they have done major work in the last two days. They have three guys working away on it. They have it almost down to bare metal (by way of sanding) and have begun to repair some of the junk that the last idiot left in there. They have chipped out a ton of bondo, and have begun to replace it with the metal I was promised by the last guy. They have the doors and hood aligned so perfectly that I could not believe it was my car. They are going to prime it on Friday, (maybe Thursday if they get really ambitious) and begin blocking. Once that is done, they are going to remove the front clip to finish the inside of the fenders, valance and header. I will get some pics as soon as I go back for another visit. I may get it back together before summers end if they deliver it in three weeks as promised. I am not going to hurry them, but he said it should be no problem. :) I'm happy.
