I searched and read on liquid masking compounds, but I still have a few questions.
I have finished the underside, wheel wells, etc., on the 69. I undercoated, and then put Chassis Black overtop so I can keep it clean. The car is going to the body shop next week, and I was thinking of blowing liquid masking in the wheel wells and at the outer edges of the floor boards and frame rails to keep the overspray off.
Do liquid masking compounds actually work?
How long can they be left on without affecting the substrate underneath? A week, a month, years with no effect?
Is there any surface a liqid mask shouldn't be used on, like plated/polished parts or in the engine compartment?
