I was wondering what the common problems with the driver windows are.

My driver window is just about all the way up, about 1/4" from being closed, and it won't budge.

the switch, every once in a while will move the window 1mm or so in either direction, making me think it may just be the switch, but this could also be caused by the motor being frozen.

So i also have a 97 dodge ram 2500 and the switches went bad in that thing like crazy, i had to replace every one of them... so i was wondering if bad window switches was common in these cars, or if anyone knows how to test the switches...(i took it apart to try, but the wiring was more complicated than i was expecting)

thanks,
troy

It's not the switch or rarely is! It's the power window motor and you'll have to be willing to drill holes in your inner door (not the upholstered panel) as well as drill out rivets and replace the motor. Check ebay for aftermarket replacements motors. Also search the 4th gen sites or google there is a good step by step out there I used but don't have bookmarked anymore...
