Ok I am installing the outside trim on my 67 and the repo rear mouldings snapped onto the clips real nice BUT the top corners where they curve around to top piece are sticking out higher than the body.I am thinking this wont be a good thing at 130mph. anybody have this problem and have a suggestion for a fix? Thanks

It might be the repo trim. Do you know anyone with some factory trim you can try to see how it fits.

The clips also come in different sizes. You might try a "shorter" one.

I have a friend who is in the auto glass business. I got a set of repops for my 68. He used smaller clips. He also pulled the windows and reset them with a window seal kit. I guess it depends on how "high" your windows sit in the window opening.
My front ones don't fit as nice as the rears where the top of the fender meets the body, but that is a fender fit problem, that I may address down the road. It means pulling the fenders and re-fitting them. For now I put up with a slight raise at the edge.
The rears fit flush and smooth, and really make a huge difference over the originals.
It cost me about 800 Can. to have the job done including the mouldings. It was worth every penny. The windows leaked when I got caught in a storm on the way home from a Cruise night, and I found out that they were installed by a body shop with the orginal mouldings. They stuck up about a 1/2 inch and I didn't notice it, until it leaked.
Now they are perfect.
