I have a 69 RS Z/28 camaro and want to replace the rear tail panel section of the car. The panel that is currently on the car had no cut outs for the rear backup light assemblies. Is there any way to measure or template for cutting them out in the proper location?

All the parts vendors (Classic, Ricks, etc) sell templates for locating the reverse lights.

Be careful of the templates. I bought a template made by classic indust. for emblems and it was wrong. I would have been really pissed had I drilled the holes per the template and the emblems wouldn't have fit. Needless to say, I returned the template. Luckily, I had access to a car with the holes installed from the factory and I made my own template.

I have the templet from Classic Industries and it worked fine. I had to grind a little on the edges to make it fit. Not bad at all.
