I bought a set of these tail light bezels and found the mounting studs do not use the oringinal style self tapping nuts. The studs that come out of the new bezels are significantly thinner and use these sheetmetal cup type nuts that have no threads. Im just thinking these things arent going to pull the gasket down, they look really weak. The studs are also tapered and dont have enough room to run a die down. Has anyone had experiance with this or an idea for a stronger fastener in this application.

BTW the repro red and clear lenses were a horrible fit in the bezel, had to do some massaging, although thats nothing new when it comes to repro parts.

I just used a set and they worked fine.They self tappped easily.The lenses we got fit in perfectly.They were from classic.(ricks) Jeff
