here is a lil part i had with my dissasembled heater box..can any of you 68 camaro gurus tell me what its for before i install my heater?

It clips over the the flapper wire for the air cable, the round end keeps the cable end from slipping off of the flapper wire. There is a pic of it in the '68 Assembly Manual. Page 56, UPC 1 M6; View A.

thank you..my car and assembly manual are at the painters.he needs the heater box so he can install the front sheetmetal.will i be ok putting this on later when i get my car back? it will have the front end on....i cant visualize exactly where this goes....
