Thanks to everyone reading this post. I have a '73 Camaro with the 4th Gen "Salad Shooter" wheels on it. I have acquired a set of '03 C5 wheels with the thought of putting them on the Camaro.

I have seen a few people who did this with 1st Gen F-bodies, but nobody has mentionned anything about 2nd Gen cars. Any ideas about the fitment?

Also wanted to get advice for tire size. I would like a 275 up front (17x8.5) and 295/305 in the back(18x9.5). Is this too much for the car? Do you think this will work? I have heard of people getting 275's on all four corners; it was even in popular hot rodding a couple months back.

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
TJ

PS-The pic below shows the cheap hub caps, not the salad shooters. Since the tranny is out, I have not rolled it out of the garage to take more pictures.

Nice car, If i were you i would go with 40 series tires. 275/40/17 will give you a good size sidewall. Plus, you wanna keep the diameter as close to stock as you can or your speedo will be off. I have 275/30/19 and i am scared when going over every bump or pothole.(I have a 4th gen) What you can do is click on the link below and put your factory tire size and it'll give you an idea. C5 rims on a 2 gen would prolly require either spacers or adapters (I'm assuming) cuz of the bolt pattern. Are you getting them from ebay or someone selling them to you? If done properly your car is gonna look hot.
Here is the link.

I already have spacers (2" on the rear /1.875" on the front) in order to get 4th gen 16x8 (6.5" bs) wheels on there. From what I understand, the C5 still had 6.5" bs, so I should be fine there.

I just wanted to see if anyone else had done this.
