After Researching on the Cowl Firewall tag for my 69 camaro. I found the paint code is 51/51. Which means its a one tone color. But from different sites i receive different colors for the code. At this site it says 51 is dark blue metallic. At the camaro research group 51 is Dusk Blue. My car appears to be a light blue, but it might be faded. will someone please help me.

Despite which name the color blue is called for code 51, the paint stores will mix the color according to the number. If yours is a light blue it may have been repainted a different blue than the orignal color.

51 is dusk blue. It is the darkest of the 4 available blues.

Note that the 72 code is "Red-Orange" and we all know it to be "Hugger Orange". Same for 50 which is "White" but in the Camaro world we know it as "Dover White". These are all names given just in the Camaro line and the paint chip chart spans all GM in '69.

Steve, Please email me a pic of your car when it is done. It also sounds like we have identical cars mine is a RS/SS 396 code 51/51 Dusk Blue. I have never seen this color on any 69 in 15 years I have owned mine (Its not the orig. color since I bought it but will be when done)
