I'm just about ready to get my 69 coupe back from paint and start the final rebuild. I have managed to find most parts that I need but I am struggling to find replacement fresh air ducts. The parts I need are not listed with any of the major parts suppliers and I have also searched for used parts with no luck. I have found the duct tube and seal kits listed but not the actual plastic ducts.
If any one can help it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

The original peices were kinda solid plastic offset offset accordian things. Very rare items. I've seen em on ebay, going for near a hundred apeice. I had one and needed a second, ended up using flex hose. No way I was gonna pay a c note for that thing.

The hoses are just black dryer duct but the part that attaches to the firewall is a plastic molded piece that has a flange for bolting it to the firewall, and actually has the air valves in it that the upper slider on the kick panels are connected to on a 69. I've only seen a set on Ebay once, they don't come up all that often. Probably have to get them out of a parts car, or maybe some place like D&R who strips Camaros for NOS parts (at least they used to).

Thanks for all the info. Looks likes it is going to have to be a repair on the old one and some tubing.
On a similar subject do any of you happen to know if anyone sells the vent outlet assemblies for a 69. Everyone lists the louver but I am missing the driver side assembly that mounts to the dash and holds the louver.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks again

Repair the old ones with this stuff. It's awesome!

It will repair ABS plastic which is what almost all automotive plastics are. Consoles, dashes, ducting..
I had to buy those ducts off eBay for US$150 a pair.
I must have searched for 6-9 months for them too and they don't show up often.
It's amazing that they were on nearly every Camaro yet, are like hen's teeth to find.

My name is Dave Hamilton and I own Hamilton Performance Products. We distribute Plastex plastic repair kits. I just want to thank BlackoutSteve for posting the link to our site and for his review of our product. Plastex can be used to repair all of your hard plastic parts including dash clusters, grills, consoles, etc. You can duplicate missing sections and tabs easily, right down to the original grain and shape. It is paintable and hard enough to sand, file or drill. A CD video comes in each kit showing how to work with the product. A reusable moulding material is also included in all kits. If you have any questions or need to place an order, just call me at 818-825-0180 between 8AM-7PM PST. I have several Camaros and have used this product many times to make repairs (Especially replacing those lower tabs on the 1969 dash clusters by the steering column that always seem to be missing.). Just mention you are a member of Team Camaro for a special discount. Thanks, Dave H. www.plastex.us/PLASTEX/index.html (http://www.camaros.net/forums/www.plastex.us/PLASTEX/index.html)
