View Full Version : Removing air from 72 Z/28 Help please dukeme May 23rd, 06, 07:54 PM Since the air is not working due to a valve, I thought if anybody has experience removing the air conditioning system you give me the step by step procedure?:) BonzoHansen May 23rd, 06, 09:38 PM IMO, you should fix it. But, you can remove it. To completely remove the AC system, you have to buy an AC delete box from American Graffitti. They advertise in the classifed section here & at nastyZ. Search over at NastyZ28.com TOM BARKLEY May 23rd, 06, 10:28 PM There is no a/c from the factory on 72 z28s the first year for a/c on a Z28 is 73 with the L82 engines. No solid lifter Z28s ever had a/c. hhott71 May 24th, 06, 09:19 AM What valve is bad? The expansion valve or the POA valve? Both are easily replaced. Ice cold air is far better than listening to her complain. dukeme May 24th, 06, 12:03 PM Valve is bad hhott71 May 25th, 06, 01:07 PM Valve is bad Expansion valve?http://www.sbsystemsgroup.com/RachelPhoto/Images/CatalogWeb/ExpValve.jpg or the POA Valve?http://www.wideopenwest.com/~mccorry/images/fall03/POA%20Valve.JPG dukeme May 25th, 06, 01:27 PM FANTASTIC Reply...POA valve it is...
