Too many people in our country have forgotten to quickly what happened on that September morning. I watched it live on CNN and Fox News and I will never forget it! :(

No offense to anyone,but I will remember that day in a different way than most of the people here. I flew home from my honeymoon on Sept 10th San Antonio to DFW airport. It was early morning and drove home to Rowlett about 35-45 mins. away. We got home and went to bed around 3a.m. or so. I remember the phone ringing and my mom was on the other line wanting to know what I wanted for my brithday. That's right my birthday is 9-11-76. I told her to leave me alone and that I would call her later. Unable to get back to sleep I turned on the T.V. just in time to see the second plane hit the Twin Towers. I thought it was a movie or something untill the phone rang again. My mom called again to tell me she was in lock down with my father and that she would call me later that day.(Both my parents are active military and my mom does have tatoos and wears combat boots no lie!) I sat there in disbelief of the whole situation. Like everyone else here I was crying and pissed at the same time. Needless to say my 25th brithday was forgotten. I am not trying to sound jealous please do not hate me. To this day I still get looks when I am carded fro beer or fill out any info for things. People always say "is that really your birthday?" I have always wanted to say "No that is the day that America changed forever" I have not paid for a drink on my birthday at any bar. My father just retired and my mom is due up to do so,and I have very strong opinions about war,servicemen&women and can not stand anyone who protest this action that our country has taken. I go to DFW airport 2 times a month because Dfw is 1 of 2 places that most of the soldiers land. It is time to support the people, even if you don't like the man that sent them there. I will get off my soapbox now with one last remark. Why hasn't SEPTEMBER 11 become a national holiday?
