I was wondering if it possible to convert a 67 RS camaro to the standard headlight and grill assembly. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Rweave.

Because the entire grill and headlight assembly is missing and I can't afford to replace everthing.

It shouldn't be too difficult. The major physical diffeences are that the fenders have brackets spot welded to them for the headlight assembly and there is an extra hole in the inner fender for the door mechanism linkage to pass through. It would be a shame though. Perhaps you could restore the RS lights in stages? My 69 RS isn't fully functional yet but hopefully will in time.

Rweave,

if you really want to do this , sure it is possible , but if you take it in steps you can have the R/S assembly back in place no problem. just remember its a one way street, once you cut off the fenders brackets thats it. and you would also lose some of the value of the car, even if you dont have all the light assemblies and electronics you can get the covers and use the puerto-rican mode (Man-u-el) opening.

Good luck in whatever choice you make,.
