ok so my dad and i are out there trying to get my motor in the car..we are having seriuos problems getting my new motor mounts to line up....i bouth the moroso solid mounts and the guy swore they would work...but i can only get one side to line up and then it pushes the other to be out of line...my question is is any one running these on a first gen...and the perches that mount to the fram that the motor mount bolts to ...is there a right and a left side..or does either side fit ...these perches are hangin off the back of the sub frame a good inch...but the back side is beveled so it looks as if i swapped them around the beveld side would now be pointing towards the front of the car and possibly would hit the subframe.....anyone have any pics of motor mounts or these perches..im tryin to get my dad to help me put it in that way tom while is at work i can hook everything up

We dropped our sb into the camaro a few days ago...new mounts...but the rams horns hit the p steering box...it was close before only a couple mm.
After trying to sort out y for a while...
the right mount had a R on it and was on the right side. So we assumed it was correct...
Today, I measured the rubber hieght of both mounts...the right was about 52 mm the other about 44mm
Swaped them around a couple hrs ago and presto, the engine now sat where it used to, not only clearing the P steering box by 2mm but and extra 2 or 3mm...
Sweet.
So yes maybe u have the mounts around the wrong way.

The frame stands have an open and a closed side. The closed side goes forward. And yes, they do hang off the back of the crossmember about an inch.
