My X44 69 Camaro has a small block with no ac, an M21 four speed and a 12 bolt posi rear end. The previous owner installed shackles to offset the flatness of the rear multi (5) leaf springs. I want to replace the leaf springs and remove the shakles. Can anyone tell me where I can go to get replacement multi leaf springs that will give me the correct original/stock height? Is there a particular brand/part number that I should be looking for? I see them on ebay all the time, but not really sure if I will get what I'm looking for. Thanks all, Charlie (camaromaniac)

Eaton was a good move for me when mine were flat too. Give them a try. Eaton Springs (http://www.eatonsprings.com/)

Another vote here for Detroit Eaton. I had them make a set for my Nova. Great parts Made in the USA.

Classic Industries offers stock springs as well. ~$200 for a set.

I installed four leaf springs on my 67 that I bought from Tamraz on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/Camaro-Trans-Am-4-leaf-rear-springs-pair-1967-to-1981_W0QQitemZ8069541845QQcategoryZ33584QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem). They are JRS 80-335-252 and the stance is perfect. Great spring for the price and the shipping is reasonable.

I just replaced mine with eaton. I had 5 leaf and changed to 4 leaf. My local dealer said the 5 leaf would make it sit too high. Look for your self. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f61/redvetteharley/69CamaroNewWheels006.jpg

with my 5 leaf but with 15" Tires in back and 14" in front so it dips toward front just from tire difference too.

Not too much different than a 4 leaf. I like it. Nice car!

Bought five leaf springs for my COPO clone from Heartbeat City.......(15" Rallys and 235-70 Tires in back) after two different sets of front springs (Heart Beat-car was low AND currently McHenry car is a tad high) I still need to change front springs to my liking.........
