Great site guys!

I had a leak in my PS pump, so I bought a basic seal kit for it. I took the reservoir off but I didn't get back to reassembling it for about 2 weeks and now I can't remember which way the pressure valve (?) goes into the pump. This is the valve that goes into the pump right where the pressure line attaches. It has a spring behind it. The valve is flat on one end. The other end will slide part way into the spring. Any idea which end goes in first? I'd hate to blow the pressure hose to find out. The seal kit came with an exploded view of the pump, but it's so badly copied, I can't tell which way it goes.

Thanks!

I have a pic of valve from my 67 ps pump. It might be the same.

Here is another shot of it. Make sure when you install the O ring on the fitting it is in the correct groove. It goes in the far left groove in the photo. If you cover the little hole in the groove next to it you will have no power steering.
